Applying Templates

Applying Templates to Songs

To add a template to a song, you'll want to get to the song editing window first.

There are two ways to open the song editing window:
1. Click "Songs" from the top menu, find the song, right-click on it, then select "Edit."
2. From the Cue List, select and open the song Cue and click "Edit Cue" in the top right corner. Then, under the Foreground section, click the grey "Edit [song title]" button on the right-hand pane.

Once you have the song editor open, you'll see a little box for "Template" on the left, under the song title (pictured). Choose the template you'd like to apply, and then click "Save" in the top right corner.

On this same page, you can edit the selected template by clicking on the "pencil" icon next to the template name. Make sure to "Save" the template when you're done, and it will bring you back here to the song editing window. If you'd rather not use a template and would like to manually edit the slide design, select "--None--" as your template and it will give you options for customization.

On the Presenter Settings page, you can change the default template so that all songs added to your library moving forward will adopt your desired template. To do this, click the gear icon in the top right corner and go to "Settings." Under the "Song, Scripture, & Slide Defaults" header, change the "Default Song Lyrics Template" to the desired template. Make sure to scroll down and click "Save" to apply your changes.

Applying Templates to Scripture

Start by clicking on "Scripture" from the top menu on your Presenter program.

In the following pop-up pane, you'll see various settings and options on the left side, including a small box where you can select the template. Fill out all the boxes/selections as desired, and click "Create Cue" at the bottom. The Scripture passage will then be added as a Cue to your current Cue List with the desired template. To change the default template settings for Scripture slides, navigate to the Presenter Settings page, and adjust the "Default Bible Template" option. Make sure to scroll down and click "Save" to apply your changes.
