Possible to run projector and stream at same time?

Thinking about switching from a very old version of EasyWorship to W/E. We currently have one machine for our live stream and another for the projector. We point the camera so you can read the projector on the video, but that's not really ideal. I am wondering if/how we could:

- Have the stream show video with lyrics overlaid on it (lower third)
- Have the projector show other slide backgrounds (images or videos but not the live video) with the same lyrics
- Bonus: have these set up as master/slave somehow so that one person controls the cues/slides on both outputs

Is this possible? Do we do that by creating two mostly-similar lists and just running them at the same time, or is there a better way?

We had the same question and upgraded to Pro in hopes that the simultaneous sessions would allow for this. However, even though we created separate users and separate scripts, there appears to be a couple of limitations.

1. The songs in one script can have a blank background for OBS, and on the other computer, in the script for front of house projection, It can have a motion background. But, the placement of the lyrics can’t be changed. If you need it lower third for OBS, it will be in lower third for projection too. (This doesn’t seem like an ideal operational situation if simultaneous sessions is supposed to allow you to run the app in different sites so I submitted a question on this point but have not received an answer yet.)

2. I’ve multitasked, by running the projector computer live, while running the computer with the OBS slides from an iPad using WE Remote. That way, the Livestream operator could focus on camera switching and scene switching.

Follow-up question…if we are multi-tasking (or simply having two operators run separate scripts) do we still need the pro tier and/or simultaneous sessions ability? Or is that not required since they will be separate?

👆 This seems to indicate that we'd need Pro Plus, since we would have two users from the same org using W/E at once. So maybe that's my answer.

That’s correct. You would need pro plus for simultaneous sessions.

A further follow up question - If we are running 2 simultaneous WE sessions, can these sessions present the same song at the same time with different templates (and backgrounds), or does the automatic, continuous synch to the cloud prevent this? Eg a live service with full screen lyrics & background to projector and a streamed service with lower third lyrics & no background to be combined with other video to streaming.

The answer is no. But I have found a work around. When you go to the Songs list, search for the song you need to put in the Cue List, Right Click on the song name, Select "Duplicate", Edit the Song Title to "Amazing Grace (livestream)" and Save. Now you have a version of that song that you can edit specifically for your streaming needs, while the original song remains intact for your sanctuary projector.
