INSTANT CUE DISPLAY (NO BLACK SCREEN)

Screen Goes Black When Turning On "Display 2"

This may sound simple, but changing this would be very helpful for a smooth church presentation. PLEASE VOTE IF YOU AGREE! :)

Try this on your Worship Extreme:
Make sure the display toggle is off. Then click on any cue. You will see it in the small preview display (bottom left). Now toggle “display 2” back ON.

At this point you would assume your cue would instantly display on the screen. But it doesn’t. Your cue is removed from the preview and it shows a black screen on your projector screen (display 2).

This is what this means during your church service:
If you need to turn “display 2” off for any reason during your church service, your desktop wallpaper will simply display on your projector screen (ours is our church logo). So no problem! But anytime you go to turn “display 2” back on, the congregation will see a black screen... until you quickly search for your bible verse or cue again and click it.

FEATURE REQUEST:
I don’t think the screen should ever be black during a church service. It makes it look like something went wrong. When you toggle display 2 on again, it should instantly display whatever cue is clicked. Not a black screen. A screen that goes black never looks good during a church service.

This absolutely makes sense. I agree!

Yeah to be honest, if it took away your cues when display 2 was turned off that wouldn’t be preferable. But when it removes your cues (that are already clicked) when turning display 2 on, it forces you to always see a black screen. No way to get around it. Everyone always sees the screen go black. I really hope this can be changed! It would be very helpful to us.

We actually just had to take WE off the screen quickly during a service last week. And when our video dept. turned display 2 back on, the screen goes black. It gets people’s head turning in the congregation when this happens. Vote if you agree!

Correct. There are multiple reasons why we may need to take Worship Extreme off the screen. Anytime we see something wrong in our presentation or with any cue, it is easiest to just take it off the screen until it is resolved. That happens very often at our church. Also, anytime we need to display anything else besides worship extreme. Sometimes the pastor needs to look at a Hebrew or Greek definition we have opened e-sword before for that. In which case Worship Extreme must come off the screen. Sometimes people have given us PowerPoint presentations before to show for a specific purpose. In that case, we also take worship extreme off the screen for that (on a Mac, worship extreme does not import presentations with any animations etc.). There are a host of reasons as to why we could potentially need to take Worship Extreme off the screen for a moment. It's not as if it is constantly, but I believe it is often enough to justify removing the "straight to black screen" feature on Worship Extreme.

As stated, it should go straight to displaying whatever cue is selected instead of displaying a black screen. If I am turning the display on, it is never to show a black screen. If I am turning the display on it is because I want a cue displayed.

Right, at our church everything is on the fly. Very few things are actually planned. And sometimes that requires us to take WE ofF the projector screen for a second. Also to fix something quickly.

I’m not sure if my replies are posting correctly but I just stated that sometimes if something unplanned comes up or if we need to fix something that requires us to take WE off the screen for a moment.

I noticed that there is an “auto fire” setting in the WE settings. It gives you the option to “auto fire” the first slide in a cue when the cue is clicked.

That exactly what we need for turning “display 2” on! A setting that you can simply check that will display the selected cue when turning display 2 on! Instead of the black screen!

Please worship extreme! This would be exactly what we need! It can even be off by default. We just want a check box!

Why are you taking Worship Extreme off screen during a service or event?
