Do Powerpoints Have to Uploaded to the Cloud?

My internet connection is not great so uploading a large power point isn't a good solution. I know selecting the option Microsoft PowerPoint option is supposed to play the file locally, however, no matter what I do it wants to upload to the cloud and I cannot play the PowerPoint. Is there anyway I can prevent it from uploading?

Thanks for the post.  PowerPoint presentations are uploaded to the cloud so thumbnails can be generated.  This is a requirement.  This allows for computers without PowerPoint to still display the presentation.
