Everything looks great on the laptop. Slides are all centered and perfect but once we connect our projector to it and launch WE it is putting black borders/frames around all the backgrounds of the slides and the words run off the edges making it hard to read or too big to fit. How can I prevent this?

This can be because you are using a different resolution for your projector output than in the preview window. Under Settings > Screen Configuration, set the Preview Resolution to the same resolution you plan on using with your projector.
