Import batch songs

January 13, 2018
We've recently switched to WorshipExtreme and everyone in the church loves it. There is only one caveat: we have quite a few songs ( ~ 700) written in PowerPoint, that don't work with the setup for WorshipExtreme, as PP can only present slideshow on one screen. Even if it did, I'd still like to have them as WorshipExtreme songs, as they look so much better, not to mention the usefulness of Stage Display.

Would it be possible to have a feature to import a batch of PowerPoints directly in WorshipExtreme, or at least be able to import a batch of XMLs ( I can generate those myself)?

Thanks,
Alex

You can import OpenLP XML files.  Are they in a similar format?

Thanks for the response. I knew I saw this functionality mentioned somewhere, just couldn't find it in the software. IMO, from a UX point of view, it would've made more sense to be under Song Lyrics > Import.

Thanks again, God bless!

Did this help you? Cause unless I'm blind, I'm not seeing it. I click on "Manage Account" and it takes me to my WE account online, but I don't see "About Worship Extreme" and "Import". HELP.

Launch Worship Extreme and navigate to "Manage Account" > "About Worship Extreme". Under "Import", click "OpenLP".
From the import window, select the directory that contains your OpenLP xml files. Click "Import" to start the import process.

And as soon as I posted that, I found it! Doh!

I've tried importing the xml files that are exported by powerpoint but WE isn't recognizing the xml files. Does OpenLP create a different type of directory?

Hi Grant- There isn't a lyric importer for PowerPoint presentations. You can import PowerPoint presentations, but they will stay as PowerPoint presentations and be available via your media library.
