What error message are you receiving?  Does your remote and computer have an active internet connection?

Sort of on this topic...do I need to have Worship Extreme running on a desktop in order to use the remote app? I’m hoping to find presentation software that will run from an iPad alone without having a desktop computer running simultaneously. Is this possible with WE?
